Tips and Tricks
- Ammo regenerates at about 6 shells every 30 seconds.
- This is a fast and powerful shotgun and it blows away anything that gets in close. But enemies really need to be in your face for it to be effective. The gun's only real use is to use as a last resort when you are being swarmed or if you want to get in, shoot then get out quickly. When fighting against a tricky teleporting/Blinking Fallen Captain Major or a annoying Hive Knight Major who uses a Wall of Darkness, you can just shove it in their faces and hold down the trigger to make them disappear. Although Invective is powerful, a good shot from a sniper rifle is safer and just as effective. Invective is a good weapon to keep on you as if you run out of ammo you can equip it and let it fully regenerate then switch to the weapon you want to use and you'll have at least a full clip with the weapon. If you're a Bladedancer Hunter with the invisibility perks you can pretty much easily kill anything out on patrol with this. Even an Colossus, standard not a Major, will fall victim to the Invective.
History
After the release of The Dark Below, Attack of the weapon was increased from 274-300 to 302-331. Players can upgrade old versions of the weapon into the new one by visiting Xur and paying 1 Exotic Shard and some Glimmer.
