Tips and Tricks
- The compass attachment on its side detects chests within your crosshair. The circle at the center of the compass will light up if your crosshair is aiming at a chest, even if the chest is far away or behind obstacles such as rocks or walls.
- Those of you who love Scout Rifles, I can't imagine it gets better than this (until that interesting looking Fate of All Fools comes around). Beautiful fire rate, healthy clips size and pew pew sounds make this gun quite the tool when taking down mobs, as it's able to output a large volume of damage at a consistently good rate. However, it's usefulness is questionable compared to some other exotics, as despite being a good weapon, others are just better. Not shabby at all in the PVP, although it's damage, or lack there of, will leave some enemies with just enough time to escape, or get you killed outright in CQB engagements.
History
After the release of The Dark Below, Attack of the weapon was increased from 274-300 to 302-331. Players can upgrade old versions of the weapon into the new one by visiting Xur and paying 1 Exotic Shard and some Glimmer.
After the release of the House of Wolves, Attack of the weapon was increased from 302-331 to 331-365. Players can upgrade old versions of the weapon into the new one by visiting Xur and purchasing 1 Exotic Shard, for 7 Strange Coins, instead of utilizing Etheric Light in the Ascend upgrade slot.
