- Assigned by Petra Venj in Vestian Outpost and released in the The Taken King expansion (Year 2).
Locations:
- The Barrens or Scablands on Mars
- Ishtar Commons Ishtar Sink, Venus
Text Walkthrough (Mars Location)
- A fireteam is recommended but not necessary - select patrol Mars on Mars
- Sho'oulth, Horror of Oryx is located in the Barrens or Scablands area and the final boss of the taken public event
- After your landing you are directly in the Barrens area, Scablands is straight forward the next area
- You get a message in the left bottom corner when the events starts (Taken forces are corrupting the area)
- Take out the Lieutenant (yellow captains) immediately after the spawn
- There are 3 Lieutenants total and they spawn one after another
- After the 3 Lieutenants are killed, Sho'oulth, Horror of Oryx spawns with a message (Darkness rises! A Taken zealot arrives to claim you)
- Kill Sho'oulth, Horror of Oryx and the Taken Bounty is solved
Venus Location
- select patrol Venus and after your landing drive right side to the Shattered Coast. At the big Angel Statue turn left into the Ishtar Academy and follow the entire path to the Ishtar Commons area (a crashed ship is in the middle of this area)
