Tips and Tricks

  • Gjallarhorn is very good in PvE. Its counterpart Truth is very good in PvP.
  • Although Truth is designed for PvP, Gjallarhorn has made numerous appearances in the PvP mode, Trials of Osiris.
  • If used in PvP, one rocket is enough to kill a single enemy, but if another is nearby, the tracking Wolfpack rounds will do enough damage to kill the second enemy if all make contact.

History

After the release of The Dark Below, Attack of the weapon was increased from 274-300 to 302-331. Players can upgrade old versions of the weapon into the new one by visiting Xur and paying 1 Exotic Shard and some Glimmer.

After the release of The House of Wolves, Attack of the weapon could be increased from 302-331 to 334-365 through the use of an Exotic Shard and some Glimmer. This upgrade takes the place of using an Etheric Light, as it is an exotic.

Trivia

Gjallarhorn is part of Norse mythology. "Gjallarhorn" is the horn sounded by Heimdal/Heimdalle to warn of the onset of Ragnarok, the Norse apocalypse.

Gjallarhorn also has a hidden Grenades and Horseshoes perk.
