Thralls are Hive units that charge their enemies in groups. In addition to their normal form that attack with claws, Cursed Thralls, an alternative form, detonate themselves when they are near their enemies to deal massive AoE damage.

Tactics

Thralls often charge at players in groups. While weak, they move quite fast and can overwhelm unsuspecting or reloading foes. Fully automatic weapons such as Auto Rifles and Machine Guns or explosive weapons like grenades and Rocket Launchers are effective at dispatching groups of Thralls.

One of the variants of Thrall is the Cursed Thrall. Cursed Thralls are slower but tankier. When they are near players, they explode, dealing heavy AoE damage. Players should kill them ASAP from afar. When they explode, they also damage their Hive allies.

Old Russia, Earth and Ocean of Storms, Moon.

The level 6 Story Mission The Dark Beyond is good for some fast and easy kills.

Cursed Thrall Locations

Level 8 mission Chamber of Night or level 26 Strike The Will of Crota.

Feral and fearless, Thrall are a plague upon the battlefield.

Their swarming, twisted frames are driven by unfettered rage. Of all the terrors born of the Hive's vile will, they are the basest.
