Unmarked Quest, Step 1

Dark Age Relics

The Sleeper Stirs is a quest that rewards the player with the Sleeper Simulant, an exotic fusion rifle that can be equipped in the Heavy Weapon slot. To trigger the quest, the player must first complete a lengthy unmarked quest that does not appear in the progress tab. The first step of this preliminary quest is to obtain four DVALIN relics:

Each relic can be turned in to the Gunsmith for 200 reputation points and some dialogue. These items are dropped randomly and may be obtained in any activity. Upon handing over the final relic, the player will advance to step two.

Unmarked Quest, Step 2

The First Firewall

Turning in all four relics to the Gunsmith unlocks a new mission on Earth titled The First Firewall. The mission itself is relatively short, only requiring the player to enter Rasputin's bunker and fend off several waves of Hive and Taken enemies. Completing the mission rewards the player with the Curious Transceiver and begins step three.

Unmarked Quest, Step 3

Activate the Transceiver

The player must examine the Curious Transceiver from the Inventory screen and enter a series of passcodes in order to activate it. The correct ordering of the codes may be deciphered from the spawning pattern of the Hive and Taken Knights in the previous mission. It is as follows:

  • Code 1: Top - Bottom - Top - Top - Bottom - Bottom - Bottom - Top - Bottom
  • Code 2: Top - Bottom - Top - Top - Bottom - Bottom - Top - Top
  • Code 3: Top - Bottom - Bottom - Bottom - Top - Bottom - Bottom - Bottom - Top - Top
  • Code 4: Top - Bottom - Top - Bottom - Top - Bottom - Top - Top

Entering the passcodes correctly unlocks a new mission on Earth titled Shadow Call and begins step four.

Unmarked Quest, Step 4

Shadow Call

This mission has a time limit of four minutes. The player must reach the designated room and defeat three Major wizards. Completing the mission within the time limit rewards the player with the IKELOS Fusion Core and begins step five.

Unmarked Quest, Step 5

Repair the Core

The player must now repair the IKELOS Fusion Core. Doing so requires completion of the following tasks; note that they may be completed in any order.

  • Heavy Power Coupling - Dismantle any legendary or higher Heavy Weapon.
  • Ionized Shell Harmonics - Complete the mission The Archive on Venus on any difficulty.
  • WARSAT//MK19/TERRA/RSPN - Complete a 'Defend the Warsat' public event on Earth.
  • WARSAT//MK19/LUNA/RSPN - Complete a 'Defend the Warsat' public event on the Moon.
  • WARSAT//MK19/MARS/CHLM - Complete a 'Defend the Warsat' public event on Mars.

Completing all of the above tasks rewards the player with the Reassembled IKELOS Fusion Core and begins step six.

Unmarked Quest, Step 6

Deliver the Core to the Gunsmith

Handing over the Reassembled IKELOS Fusion Core to the Gunsmith completes step six. The player must return after one daily reset has passed in order to receive The Sleeper Stirs.

The Sleeper Stirs, Step 1

Fallen S.A.B.E.R.

The player must complete a special 280 Light version of the Fallen SABER strike on Earth. Note that this version of the Strike must be selected from the Director and does provide matchmaking. Completing the strike rewards the player with the Sleeper Simulant Weapon Frame and begins step two.

The Sleeper Stirs, Step 2

Return to Banshee

Speaking to Banshee will complete the quest and reward the player with the Sleeper Simulant.
