Gunsmith, named Banshee-44, is an NPC in The Tower that sells level-appropriate Weapons and Ammunition Consumables for glimmer. His stock changes once every 3 hours. In Year 2, players can earn Gunsmith Reputation by completing weekly objectives with Field Test Weapons. As players gain Gunsmith ranks, they unlock Armsday Order. It allows players to order select Legendary Weapons every week. These weapons are delivered every Wednesday.

Field Test Weapons

Field Test Weapons allow players to increase their reputation with Gunsmith by completing specific objectives with the provided weapons each week. 5 Weapons are available for players to complete each week. Players will receive 250 Gunsmith reputation points for each completion.

Armsday Order

Armsday Order allows players to order from a selection of Legendary Weapons. The ordered weapon is delivered to the Gunsmith next Wednesday, same time as the selection of weapons change. Players can start ordering weapons when their reputation with Gunsmith has reached rank 1. The higher the reputation the more orders you can place (you can order a maximum of 3 weapons at a time). The perks of each weapon is randomized.

Year 1
After the release of House of Wolves, Gunsmith can Reforge your HoW weapons for Mote of Light, Weapon Parts and glimmer. Reforge randomly re-rolls the perks of that weapon. Gunsmith will also start selling weapon telemetries.
- For players on the Exotic Bounty Shattered Memory Fragment, Gunsmith sells Rare Fusion Rifles every 3 days at 7PM - 10PM EST. Check the gunsmith at those times everyday to see if he is selling the weapons.
