This weapon causes Arc damage.

Arc Damage is one of four damage types that can be inflicted by weapons in Destiny. When damaging an enemy's shield in PvE activities, Arc rounds deal 100% of their normal damage values against Solar and Void shields while inflicting double (200%) damage to Arc shields. Note, however, that the
Match Game modifier on Heroic or Nightfall strikes will impose a significant (~75%) damage penalty when facing Solar and Void shields with this damage type.
