Crucible Commendation
Crucible Commendation - Introduced in The Dark Below. They can be traded in for 250 reputation point with your chosen faction.
Glimmer
Glimmer - The main currency in Destiny. Used to purchase items from vendors and upgrades for weapons and armor. It is shared among all of your characters. Players can obtain Glimmer from killing enemies and completing missions.
Mote of Light
Mote of Light - Used to purchase gear from The Speaker. Obtained from gaining EXP after level 20.
Passage Coin
Passage Coin - Used to purchase Trials of Osiris buffs from Brother Vance.
Strange Coin
Strange Coin - Currency of Xur. Used to purchase Xur's Exotic weapons and armor. Obtained from Weekly Heroic Strikes and deciphering rare engrams.
Vanguard Commendation
Vanguard Commendation - Introduced in The Dark Below. They can be traded in for 250 reputation point with your chosen faction.

These items are from Year 1 of Destiny. They are no longer in game.

Crucible Marks - Currency of the Crucible. Used to purchase weapons and armor from Crucible Handler, Crucible Quartermaster, New Monarchy Vendor, Future War Cult Vendor and Dead Orbit Vendor. Obtained from Crucible matches.

Vanguard Marks
Vanguard Marks - Currency of the Vanguard. Used to purchase weapons and armor from Vanguard Quartermaster, Titan Vanguard, Hunter Vanguard and Warlock Vanguard. Obtained from High-level Strikes, Daily and Weekly Missions and Strikes.
