NPCs are friendly non-play characters that are found in The Tower and Vestian Outpost. Some NPCs act as Vendors and sell items to the players, while others offer a variety of services such as bounties or item upgrades.
Bounty Tracker - provides players with bounties
Brother Vance (Disciple of Osiris) - Trials of Osiris NPC found in Vestian Outpost.
Crucible Handler (Lord Shaxx) - exchanges Crucible Armor for Crucible Marks
Crucible Quartermaster (Arcite 99-40) - exchanges Crucible Weapons and Sparrows for Crucible Marks. Accepts materials for Crucible Marks and Reputation.
Cryptarch (Master Rahool) - sells and identifies Engrams.
Dead Orbit Vendor (Arach Jalaal) - exchanges Dead Orbit Weapons and Armor, Emblems and Shaders for Crucible Marks.
Eris Morn (Crota's Bane) - from the faction Crota's Bane. Assigns special Bounties, sells weapons, armor and other items but requires The Dark Below Expansion.

Petra Venj - main NPC for House of Wolves and Queen's Wrath faction, found in Vestian Outpost.
Postmaster - delivers engrams that were never picked up by the players.
Shipwright - sells rare Sparrows and Jumpships.
Tess Everis - the representative of Eververse. She sells unique cosmetic items such as emotes for silver.
The Speaker - Exchanges rare Emblems, Warlock Bonds, Titan Marks and Hunter Cloaks for Motes of Light.
Titan Vanguard - sells low level Titan Armor for glimmer. Exchanges high-level Titan Armor for Vanguard Marks.
Vanguard Quartermaster - exchanges Vanguard Weapons, Armor and Sparrows for Vanguard Marks. Accepts materials for Vanguard Reputation and Vanguard Marks.
Variks, the Loyal - The Prison of Elders and House of Judgement NPC, found in Vestian Outpost.
Vaults - allows the player to store items and transfer them to characters on the same account.
Warlock Vanguard - sells low level Warlock Armor for glimmer. Exchanges high-level Warlock Armor for Vanguard Marks.
Xur - appears on weekends. Exchanges Exotic Gear for Strange Coins.
