Crucible Commendation
Crucible Commendation - Introduced in The Dark Below. They can be traded in for 250 reputation point with Vanguard, Crucible, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy or Future War Cult.
Fallen Cores
Armor Core and Weapon Core - introduced in House of Wolves. They are obtained in The Prison of Elders. Armor Core and Weapon Core are given to Variks for Fallen-themed Armor, Fallen-themed Weapons and Judgement's Chance.
Glimmer
Glimmer - The main currency in Destiny. Used to purchase items from vendors and upgrades for weapons and armor. It is shared among all of your characters. Players can obtain Glimmer from killing enemies and completing missions.
Legendary Marks
Legendary Marks - introduced in The Taken King (Year 2). Legendary Marks replace both Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks. These marks are obtained in PvE and PvP activities and are used to purchase Legendary Weapons, Armor and other items from Tower vendors.
Mote of Light
Mote of Light - Used to purchase gear from The Speaker. Can be consumed into EXP for weapons and gear. Obtained from gaining EXP after level 40.
Passage Coin
Passage Coin - Used to purchase Trials of Osiris buffs from Brother Vance.
Silver
Silver - Used to purchase unique cosmetic items from Eververse Trading Company through Tess. Purchased with real money.
Strange Coin
Strange Coin - Currency of Xur. Used to purchase Xur's Exotic weapons and armor. Obtained from Weekly Heroic Strikes and deciphering rare engrams.
Vanguard Commendation
Vanguard Commendation - Introduced in The Dark Below. They can be traded in for 250 reputation point with Vanguard, Crucible, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy or Future War Cult.

These items are from Year 1 of Destiny. They are no longer in game.
