The Taken King, formally known as The Comet, is the 3rd and largest expansion for Destiny, scheduled to release in Q3 2015. Unlike previous expansions, it will come in disc-form, similar to vanilla Destiny. It will not only increase the base level from 20 to 30 but also add 1 extra subclass for each class. Additionally, Comet: Plague of Darkness will add 2 new types of weapons and a new Patrol location on a Hive ship.
