Nightfall is a Skull difficulty setting for Story Missions and Strikes. It Nightfall if all your fireteam wipes (everyone in your team dies), you are automatically sent back to the orbit. You will have to start the Story Mission or Strike again, from the beginning.
- This "hardcore" mode can cause wipes on tough encounters to be very devastating.
