Rare is a Item Rarity symbolized by the color blue. Rare items are the 3rd most rare items in Destiny. They are more rare than Uncommon Items and less rare than Legendary Items.
Rare Armor and Weapons can gain experience and usually have multiple Armor upgrade or Weapon upgrade Perks.
Players can purchase Rare Weapons from various Vendors.
Players can obtain Rare items from enemy drops, mission rewards and decoding of engrams.
