General Information

Players can find Dead Ghosts scattered across the world of Destiny. After discovering each Ghost, the player unlocks the Grimoire Card and its lore related to the Ghost. Additonally, players will earn the Trophy/Achievement Ghost Hunter after finding 50 Dead Ghosts.

Age of Triumph Dead Ghosts

Guide for the locations of every Dead Ghosts added in Age of Triumph. There are 10 total. 1 from The Tower, 1 from Crota's End, and 8 from PvP Maps (one from the PS4 Exclusive Sector 618).

Ghost Fragment: Lord Shaxx

00:00 - The Tower - Climb slightly up the tree near the Gunsmith.

Legend: Rezyl Azzir - The Triumphant Return

00:25 - Light 390 Crota's End Raid - At the very beginning of the raid before you drop down, head to the plate where you form the bridge. Head over the cliff to the left, and on the far beam/structure goes down towards the hole, the ghost will be sitting there.

Ghost Fragment: Cayde-6

00:50 - Exodus Blue - Inside the Car near the A spawn flag.

Ghost Fragment: Eris Morn

01:10 - The Anomaly - In the very middle of the map on the rotating structure, in the gap/center of it.

Ghost Fragment: Lord Shaxx 2

01:34 - Twilight Gap - In the small room in the hallway lower that connects the C flag/party room (directly across where the Special Spawns near that middle turret).

Ghost Fragment: The Last Word 5

02:03 - Frontier - Near the heavy spawn on the cliff/open side of the map. Where you can fall off there's a ledge with the ghost.

Ghost Fragment: The Reef 4

02:28 - The Drifter - Directly behind A spawn there's a little ledge you can jump on over the railing, it's floating on top of that.

Ghost Fragment: Thorn 5

02:51 - The Cauldron - In the bones tunnel near C flag, it's sitting on the roof/inside those bones.

Shadows of Yor

03:12 - The Dungeons - Top middle of the map, sitting on top of the giant crystal.

Ghost Fragment: Fallen 6

03:35 - Sector 618 - This can be found between B and A points. If you're at B, head towards A but go into the far corner rather than turning. It's in the ball bag in the corner.

Rise of Iron added 39 new Dead Ghosts, 8 in PvE and 31 in PvP / Crucible.

Ghost Fragment: The Dark Age 3

This is at Felwinter Peak social zone. Right next to the main fire pit in the middle.

Ghost Fragment: Mysteries 3

This one can be found in the second mission "The Walls Come Down". At the start of the mission head slightly to the right towards the ketch. In a car just before the ketch, the dead ghost is sitting inside.

Ghost Fragment: Old Russia 4

This one can be found on the second story mission "The Walls Come Down". Progress through the mission until you reach The Divide. Once here, jump up ontop of the building in front to the left, and then jump up onto the light / post next to it on the left. The ghost is sitting on there. The grimoire didn't show the name for this, but checked my grimoire cards and it was definitely Old Russia 4.

Ghost Fragment: Fallen 5

This one can be found on the second story mission "The Walls Come Down" or third mission "The Plaguelands". Get to the point where you need to enter the hole in the wall in the Rocketyard. Before entering, above you should be a hanging platform. The ghost is on this platform.

Ghost Fragment: Ghosts 2

This one can be found in the third mission "The Plaguelands". Once you progress through the mission and pass through Lord's Watch, you will then reach Bunker Triglav and you need to destroy the shield generators. Once you enter the room with the shield generators, head immediately to your right. The ghost can be found sitting on a pipe hanging on the wall.

This one can be found in the fourth mission "Download Complete" on Mars. Progress until you drop down the elevator, and the ghost can be found in the room behind the pillar on the right with monitors on it. This video was before the glitch, but time-stamped to right point.

Legends and Mysteries: Rezyl Azzir

Plaguelands Patrol. Head over to The Archon's Keep from the Giant's Husk / Doomed Sea side. Once you reach The Archon's Keep, head immediately left down the path that leads you to water. Once you're at the water, over the ledge to the left is a well hidden cave that contains this ghost. Also to note, this shows in-game as "Rezyl Azzir: The Whisper and the Bone", but gives you Legends and Mysteries grimoire entry.

Ghost Fragment: Rasputin 6

This one can be found on the fifth story mission "The Iron Tomb". Progress through the mission until you reach the Site 6 zone and you take the massive drop down to the underground cave area. Once you progress a little forward and open up the large pathway to the final room of the mission, at the start of of the bridge the dead ghost is on the right.

Patch 2.1.0

The Sparrow Racing League patch.

1. Ghost Fragment: The Ocean of Storms 2 (Grimoire Card) - This can be found in the Circle of Bones area, found within the Hellmouth (just before you reach the summoning pits area in the Phogoth Strike). It can be found on top of the right most set of lights hanging from the ceiling as soon as you enter.

2. Vision 47 (Grimoire Card) - This can be found in the Hall of Wisdom area. To get here, from the spawning zone head up the hill and then through the dome shaped building. Head down and into the hive caves. Descend the area and you will reach the hall of wisdom. Head through a little bit and then turn left (towards the Shrine of Oryx). The dead ghost can be found way up top behind some tubes. You need to jump on the tiny little thing pointing out of one of the pillars to be able to jump that high.

3. Ghost Fragment: The Exo Stranger 2 (Grimoire Card) - This ghost can be found in the Summoning Pits. This area is not accessible in patrol, or any story missions (so far). You will need to enter the strike called "The Summoning Pits". Fight to the very end where you battle Phogoth. The ghost is on the beam way up in the middle of the room. To get to it, you can climb the rocks over on the left when entering, or climb the structure on the right when entering. In my opinion, it is easier to go on the right (as shown in the video). Once up on the beam, the ghost can be found on one of the supports sticking out, the one furthest left from where you enter the room.

4. Rezyl_Azzir_-_Before_These_Walls_(Grimoire_Card) - This ghost can be found in the Summoning Pits. This area is not accessible in patrol, or any story missions (so far). You will need to enter the strike called "The Summoning Pits". Fight to the very end where you battle Phogoth. The ghost is on the right side "outside" the map. Equip a sword for a better visibilty when you jump. Go to the right side and look up, you see a very small ledge, jump to this ledge, from here jump up to another very small ledge and here you will find the dead ghost.

Patch 2.2.0

1. Rezyl Azzir - War Without End (Grimoire Card) - You can find the Dead Ghost at the end of Prison of Elders Level 41 as you make your way down to the treasure room.

Patch 2.4.0 (Pre Rise of Iron Patch)

There are 27 Dead Ghost Fragments where added with Patch 2.4.0 and the private lobby system. These Dead Ghosts can only be found in private matches. They will not appear in normal crucible playlists. Start a private Crucible game and load the control mode on the Map of your choice and then follow the video. There is one new dead ghost fragment to be found on each map.
