Wizards are floating, spell-casting Hive units with Solar Shields. They not only fire bursts of Arc orbs at the player but also spawns Clouds of Darkness. Players take damage over time while Hive minions heal over time within the cloud.
Tactics
Wizards have Solar Shields that make them quite durable. When their shields are down, they will attempt to float around and look for cover. Players should use Solar weapons or abilities such as Golden Gun and Solar Grenade to take down the shield. They are quite squishy without it.
Wizards can blast at you with torrents of energy orbs. These can be easily avoided. They can also summon Clouds of Darkness. Get out of the cloud ASAP. It damages all players and heals all Hive units within.

The Wizard is the scalpel with which the Hive vivisect the universe. A nightmare of rag and bone, the Wizard conceals herself within darkness and fire, dissecting and experimenting on anything that falls into her clutches.
