INFECTED variant
Map Any map
Mood VERY casual
Game Type Mayhem Rumble
Player Count 6
Additional Info Private Match Game Types

Restrictions

Infected can only use sidearms and swords. Guardians can only use Universal Remote. No HUD, No grenades, no supers, melee only when you run out of ammo. No vehicles. No invisibility.

Description

First, agree on a shader color for infected that everyone has or can get (we used red, but Eva is selling green shader so that works too). Normal guardians use white. Only infected get to pick up special and heavy. If you die by infected player or break the rules, you become infected and switch your shader to the infected color. Last man standing tries to stay alive until the end of the match. If he dies, everyone resets shaders and last man starts as infected.

Variations

Notes and Ideas

  • I might try this only reverse the weapons. Infection in Halo saw the zombies with the sword, and Uni Remote would fit that bill as it has longer range than normal close range shotguns. And if the humans have sidearms that would emulate them having magnums. That or they could also have slow firing hand cannons. Point being, humans had the option of close or medium range while zombies had to get close.
  • We played this with similar rules except we had infected use whatever shotgun with their HUD disabled and the humans used no land beyond. It turned out to be pretty fair.
