General Information
Legendary is an Item Rarity symbolized by the color purple. Legendary items are the 2nd highest tier in Destiny. They are more rare than Rare Items and less rare than Exotic Items.
Legendary Armor and Weapons can gain experience and usually have multiple Armor upgrade or Weapon upgrade Perks.
Players can purchase Legendary Weapons from various Vendors such as the Vanguard Quartermaster, Crucible Quartermaster, Crucible Handler, New Monarchy Vendor, Dead Orbit Vendor, Future War Cult Vendor, Titan Vanguard, Hunter Vanguard, Warlock Vanguard, Eris Morn and Iron Banner Vendor.
- Legendary items are not usually purchased with glimmer, players will need an adequate amount of the special currency known as Legendary Marks and adequate Reputation ranks to buy them.
Players can obtain Legendary items from mission rewards and the decoding of Legendary (Or on occasion, Rare) Engrams.
