General Information
Emotes are cosmetic actions players can activate by hitting the d-pad buttons on the controller. There are 3 default emotes, Greet, Dance and Sit that can be activated by hitting Up, Down and Right arrows respectively. The 4th emote, Left arrow, can be swapped to other emotes from the Inventory menu.
First new emotes are awarded to players who have purchased the Collector's Edition of TTK. 3 new class specific dance Emotes are given to the players.
After October 13, 2015, players can purchase 18 new equippable emotes from Tess for Silver.
Equippable Emotes
After the release of The Taken King and start of Year 2, players can change and equip new emotes from their Inventory menu. Players can only have 1 emote equipped at a time. They can activate the emote by pressing the left arrow on dpad (default is pointing).
Year 1
Default Emotes:
- Greet - Up arrow
- Dance - Down arrow
- Pointing - Left arrow (can be swapped to other Emotes from the Inventory menu)
- Sit - Right arrow
Note that different races and gender have different versions of the same Emote.
