Encrypted Engrams (Green Engrams) are Uncommon Engrams dropped by defeated enemies or purchased from Cryptarch. There are 9 weapon Encrypted Engrams, one for each type of weapon. There are 7 Armor Encrypted Engrams, one for each armor slot and another 3 for the bonds, marks and capes.
Data showed that a Encrypted Engram will yield a uncommon (green) rarity item about 70% of time. The Engram will yield Common (white) rarity item about 23% of the time. It will yield Rare (blue) rarity items about 7% of the time.
