They act as the [[Queen of the Reef|Queen's]] spies, gathering intelligence on subjects of interest to (and threats against) the Reef, as well as covert messengers and emissaries to her allies. They employ all manner of equipment in carrying out their duties, including the ubiquitous [[Crow (device)|monitoring devices of the same name]] as well as an elite fighter wing for use in precision strikes against entrenched enemy positions, where overwhelming firepower is preferred to avoid excessive [[Awoken]] casualties. They also modify captured enemy technology for use by Her Majesty's forces.
