Precision Kills are kills obtained by the player when they hit the enemy in its weak spot. As opposed to white damage numbers of normal hits, Weak spots hits are indicated by yellow damage numbers.

For most humanoid [[enemies]] in [[PvE]] and enemy player in [[PvP]], Precision Kills are headshot kills. In order to trigger Precision Kill activated abilities, players need to hit the weak sport (head for humanoids) in the killing blow.

*If the enemy has a shield, players cannot deal precision kill until the shield has been removed.

*For [[Vex]] enemies, you need to fire at their '''stomachs''', not heads, for precision kills.

*Some enemies such as [[Shank]]s, [[Minotaur]]s, and some [[vehicles]] do not have weak spots.
