Iron Banner is [[PvP]] [[Event]] where the level and [[gear]] of the players are NOT normalized. Unlike [[The Crucible]], players with higher levels or better [[weapons]] and [[armor]] will have the advantage in Iron Banner.

*Player's [[Attack]] and [[Defense]] [[stats]] and their [[Light]] levels do matter in Iron Banner.

*The first Iron Banner event begins on October 7th, 2014 and lasts til October 14th, 2014. The second Iron Banner event begins on November 18 and lasts til November 24.

Currently Iron Banner consist of 6v6 [[Control]] mode.

*Note that your reputation rank with the Iron Banner will reset after the event.

==Iron Banner Reputation==
By participating in Iron Banner and completing [[Iron Banner Bounties]], players will earn [[Iron Banner Reputation]]. Player earns 25 reputation points for winning a Iron Banner match and 0 points for a loss. As the player's [[Iron Banner Reputation]] increases, they will be able to purchase [[#Weapon Rewards|Iron Banner Weapons]], [[#Armor Rewards|Armor]], [[#Emblem Rewards|Emblems]], [[#Class Armor Rewards|Class Armor]], [[#Shader Rewards|Shaders]] from the [[Iron Banner Vendor]].

Players can change the [[upgrades]] of their [[#Weapon Rewards|Iron Banner Weapons]] by reforging them. Players can talk to [[Iron Banner Vendor]] and spend [[Motes of Light]] to reforge their weapons.
*Note that Reforge will also reset all the purchased upgrades on a weapon.

==Tempered Buff==
Players can gain a buff that increases their Iron Banner Reputation gain for 12 hours by talking to [[Iron Banner Vendor]]. The reputation bonus depends on the day of the week. The further into the event the more reputation players will gain from the buff. Tempering cost 1 Mote of Light.

==Iron Medallions==
While winners of Iron Banner matches will earn Iron Banner Reputation. The losers of the matches will gain a [[Iron Medallion]]. Players can carry up to 5 Medallions. The Medallions converts into reputation points upon the player's next victory in the Iron Banner.
==Weapon Rewards==
Each weapon can be purchased from [[Iron Banner Vendor]] for 11500 [[Glimmer]] if the player is either Rank 4 or 5 with the Iron Banner.
