Emotes are cosmetic actions players can activate by hitting the 4 d-pad buttons on the controller.

Default Emotes:

  • Greet - Up arrow
  • Dance - Down arrow
  • Pointing - Left arrow
  • Sit - Right arrow

Note that different races and gender have different versions of the same Emote.

Equipping Emotes: After the release of The Taken King and start of Year 2, players can change and equip new emotes from their Inventory menu.
